Steve Stoloff
CEO
steve@govavi.com
Steve grew up in Clifton Park, a small town in upstate New York. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY) in 1999 with a degree in Management and Technology. He finally got sick of the cold and moved to sunny San Diego in the fall of 2002. Prior to his involvement in VAVi, Steve was the Vice President of Strategic Planning at RealAge. In November '06, Steve "retired" from corporate life and was getting ready to board a jet to Costa Rica when Latane called him with an offer he couldn't refuse… a chance to run a business that changes the world in an amazingly fun and positive way. With Steve's drive for success, intelligence, and Sour-Then-Sweet personality, "The Sour Patch Kid" has taken VAVi Sports to a different level of success. Nowadays, you can find Steve "auditing the customer experience" on a kickball field near you.

Latane Meade
President
latanemeade@govavi.com
Latane grew up in Virginia Beach, VA. He attended James Madison University and graduated with a double major in Finance and Marketing Information Systems. Latane spent 2 years in the Marketing & Sales department at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Washington, DC. After experiencing the corporate side of the business world, he moved out to San Diego in February 2003 where he became a partner of VAVi Sport & Social Club. Latane spent 4 years at The Active Network where he sold advertising and sponsorship as the Director of Integrated Partnerships. In 2010, he came back to VAVi where he mainly focuses on new business. This past year VAVi launched the Electric Run which is currently scaling nationwide to over 30 cities.

Felix Goodson
Vice President
felix@govavi.com
Felix Goodson hails all the way from right here in sunny Southern California. He studied hard at San Diego State where he quickly discovered a passion for producing parties and large-scale events. He turned his love for organizing fun into the largest spring break travel business on the west coast. Felix and his friends spent a decade dominating the student travel industry before Felix decided to explore new opportunities and face new challenges. For two years, he managed various projects for the NHRA, NASCAR and the U.S. Open. At VAVi he is taking that passion for events and using it to maximize the customer experience for every sports program we offer. Of course he still has a hand in our social events as well. Don't be shy and say hi to the former footballer. Even challenge him at some one-on-one basketball - if you dare.

Rory Berg
Sports Operations Director
rory@govavi.com
A Chicago native, Rory moved to sunny San Diego in 2007 and embraced the laid back, west coast lifestyle. He joined the VSSC staff in 2008 and is always trying to expand VAVi to your area. Rory manages the operations of all VAVi sports and fitness programs from Parks and Recreation permits to referees to field maintenance. If you would like to see a VAVi sports league at a field near you, shoot him an email and he will try to bring fun to your 'hood. Rory is a passionate Chicago sports fan and when not rooting on the Cubs at a local watering hole, you can find him poorly executing his Kareem-like hook shot in a VAVi basketball league.

Jamie Satchell
Sponsorship and Branding Manager
jamie@govavi.com
Jamie was born and raised in the great state of Delaware (The 1st State) and attended Virginia Tech and University of Delaware. He graduated with a Business degree in Marketing and moved to San Diego in 2008 by way of Atlanta. Jamie now works as VAVi’s Sponsorship and Events Manager. You are most likely to find him either working hard or playing hard out on the kickball field or one of San Diego’s many bars. If you see him out, make sure you stop and say hi.

Jonathan "J.R." Race
Events Manager
jr@govavi.com
JR grew up in Rohnert Park, a small city in the heart of California's wine country. He graduated from Cal Poly SLO in 2007 with a degree in International Business and Finance and a minor in Economics. After working for a year as a credit analyst he continued his migration south to attend grad school at the University of San Diego where he received his MBA in 2009. He started at VAVi as a business analyst intern and was then brought on to help the marketing department. He is a die hard Miami Dolphins fan (Why? Ask him. It makes total sense...) and when he's not telling you how they're going to win the Super Bowl he can probably be found on the dance floor, kickball field or sand volleyball court.

Dave Draizen
League Communications Manager
ddraizen@govavi.com
David grew up in the lovely neighborhood of Danville, CA where he was a star bench warmer for his basketball and softball teams. Looking to follow in the footsteps of his hero Jerry Rice, he moved to San Diego, took up intramural football at his alma mater SDSU and would soon go on to championship glory! From here the domination ensued. Now a 4x Kickball champion with the Sloshballers and rapidly making his name on the dodgeball court where he initially reffed, his name is legend. This former firefighter, Xerox salesman and Super Mario impersonator began a career with VAVi sports as a referee but has moved on to League Communications Manager where he handles all of your roster, scheduling needs and customer service. So if you see him out and about, buy him a beer.

Michelle Low
Online Marketing Manager
michelle@govavi.com
Michelle grew up in sunny Arcadia, a small town just outside Pasadena. She moved to San Diego in 2006 and graduated from SDSU with a degree in Marketing in 2011. Her time at VAVi began after an extremely awkward run-in at the dodgeball league in OB - ask her about it. Michelle takes care of online marketing campaigns, including the occasionally witty newsletter, sports emails and other website-y stuff. She’s an avid fan of the 17 time World Champion Los Angeles Lakers and the USC Trojans (her mom went – didn’t hop on the bandwagon!). In addition to her online responsibilities, she works almost every Sunday (doing extensive amounts of R&D as to how to improve VAVi’s post-game happy hours).

Gina Burgess
Event Marketing & Social Media Coordinator
gburgess@govavi.com
Gina grew up in Danville, CA and moved to San Diego in 2008. She may be the youngest VAVi employee, but she certainly isn’t the least accomplished. She kept busy in college, and was the President of the SDSU AD Club and on the board of the American Marketing Association. She graduated from San Diego State University in 2012 with a degree in Advertising and a minor in Marketing. Now Gina is keeping the world informed on all of VAVi’s current events as the Social Media Coordinator. When she’s not in the office you’ll most likely find her playing a sport. On any given week her schedule can be filled with a combination of dodgeball, kickball, flag football, softball and basketball. Although her bio seems impressive, nobody is perfect… Gina is a huge Raiders and Warriors fan. Feel free to make fun of her for that, she’s used to it.

Heather Pearl
Field Marketing Manager
hpearl@govavi.com
Heather, arguably the most spirited VAVi employee, grew up in Long Island, NY and graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in Marketing in 2006. She has been enjoying the San Diego sun since 2010, which is very beneficial to her since she is solar-powered and sun is essential for her to perform even the most basic functions. She’s now VAVi’s Field Marketing Manager and makes sure all your VAVi needs are met by visiting you guys out on the fields and maintaining the good relationships with you and your favorite VAVi sponsor bars. If she’s not working, she’s probably eating chips. If she’s not eating chips, she’s probably running with VAVi’s Marathon Training Program. And if she’s not running, she’s probably crockpotting delicious foods and forcing her fellow VAVi coworkers to wear ridiculous outfits for “Fun Time Friday.”

Brandon Vieyra
Finance Manager
bvieyra@govavi.com
Brandon is a San Diego native, growing up in North County before leaving for college at UC Riverside then moving onto his career in Washington D.C., Anaheim, Los Angeles and most recently Portland, Oregon. Brandon’s background is in the hospitality industry, where he has worked for such companies as Marriott, Hilton and several boutique properties at the Director of Finance level. As a long time soccer player and experience in lacrosse, bmx biking and body boarding, living an active lifestyle seems second nature to Brandon; it only seemed destined when he found a kickball league to lead and take to a championship win his first season as a VAVi member. When he’s not hitting the field, Brandon frequents his town of North Park and it’s neighboring towns for fun and adventure.
