You asked for an Intermediate Salsa class and here it is!! Yes it seems Salsa dancing is taking over San Diego. Salsa dance is a popular form of Latin-American dance music, characterized by Afro-Caribbean rhythms, Cuban big-band dance melodies, and elements of jazz and rock. Simply put, this dance style is social, fun and passionate! VAVi and Cheek2Cheek’s 6 week course is designed to progressively increase your skills from week to week. This class is for people that have some experience with the dance but want to improve even more on their Salsa skills!! On the last week, professional dancers will do a Salsa demonstration for everyone.
This 6 week course covers the following areas:
o Week 1 – Figures 1 & 2
o Week 2 – Figures 3 & 4
o Week 3 – Figures 5 & 6
o Week 4 – Figures 7 & 8
o Week 5 – Figures 9 & 10
o Week 6 – Review and Dance off competition |
