BEGINNER BEACH VOLLEYBALL with Hank
Why Join VAVi's Beginner Beach Volleyball class?
Do you play Beach Volleyball? If not, this is the class for you. During this 5 week beach volleyball course, you will learn the rules of the sport as well as how to serve, dig, bump, pass, set, spike, and block. Maximum of 12 players per instructor. Learn to play volleyball while soaking in the sun!
The Lowdown

- 10 hours of personal instruction

Instructor
Instructor Bio: Hank Groves
Hank Groves is originally from Hilton Head Island, SC. He has been playing competitive 2 man beach volleyball for over 15 years. He attended Spartanburg Methodist JC (Spartanburg, SC) where he was a two-time letterman in soccer. His passion for volleyball was realized while attending Winthrop University (Rock Hill, SC) where he played/coached his fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, to Greek Games Gold. He has traveled all over the East Coast playing in the Jose Cuervo, Bud Light, Toyota, and East End volleyball circuits. He has lived in San Diego for over 5 years now, consistantly playing at the AA level (AAA is pro). He is currently rated "AA" and ranked 168th in the California Beach Volleyball Association (www.cbva.com). Hank also has two years of women's indoor high school volleyball coaching experience, taking both teams to the playoffs. He has played in two AVP qualifiers in 2005, posting a 1-2 record. He currently trains potential AVP professionals and beginners here in San Diego.
