There’s No Crying In Kickball

As San Diego’s stock of young men with acceptable recess skills has depleted during the harsh Southern California winter, an all-female kickball team has sprung up in the quaint neighborhood of Carmel Valley. Former league rivals, roommates, college friends, and kickball frenemies alike, have come together after years of playing nice with the boys to take the game into their own hands.
With the help of their sleeveless, beer-stained coach Jimmy Dugan (Benn Vogelsang), the Rockford Pitches, on the heels of one rough inning, pulled out three double-plays and a victory in their very first game as a team. And while this was not the first or only kickball win for any of these ladies, it will go down in history as one of the happiest moments in all their lives, because they did it on a team of their own.
