We all know that going to a Padres game is a pricey investment. Why? With many close games, blown leads, and comebacks – as fans we all know that we need some beer and food in our hands to spend the day or night at the ballpark. Not to mention, Petco Park is home to some of the best craft beer and vast number food vendors that are sure to satisfy your cravings. Opening day is just around the corner so here are some places you must try:

1. Hodad’s

There’s nothing like having a hot dog at the ball park but once in a while you have to try the other goodies Petco Park has to offer. Hodad’s is the burger joint of San Diego. Not only do they offer their stacked burger but also, chicken strips, fries, and more. Location: sections 104, 131, 300, 316, and 325.

2. Craft Beer

 Baseball needs beer and luckily San Diego is craft beer central. Check out Craft Beers of San Diego for a vast list from Ballast Point to Stella to  your usual ballpark beer like Bud Light. Location: sections 105, 215, 229, 303, and 328.

3. Pizza Port

Pizza Port is a great substitute with good food. Nothing like a good slice of pizza and beer to watch the Padres. Location: 311, 320, 213, and 121

4. Phil’s BBQ

Phil’s BBQ is the ultimate upgrade from your standard hot dog. Fans can enjoy onion rings, the famous El Toro tri-tip sandwich, the pulled pork sandwich and more. Location: section 113 behind first base, on the rooftop, and at the park.

5. Carnitas’ Snack Shack

Indulge in some of the tastiest pork sandwiches at Carnitas’ Snack Shack. They are truly one of the best carnitas to try in San Diego. Location: 228 and 128
