Join a new VAVi sports league and meet the love of your life? Hey! It’s happened before. Here’s one of the love stories behind it.

Four years ago, Jessica, a nine year VAVi veteran, joined a Sunday Flag Football team with a couple of her friends and needed some free agents to complete the team. This is where Tim comes in. Freshly new to San Diego from New England, Tim was eager to meet some new people while staying active and having fun. He had heard about VAVi Sport and Social and decided to sign up for the Flag Football League and ended up getting placed on Jessica’s team. They first laid eyes on each other on October 28th, 2012 and little did they know, this was a day that would change the rest of their lives.

(Cue the romantic music.)

During one of their practice sessions, Jessica overheard Tim talking about being in the market for a new roommate and coincidentally, she was in the same boat. Without hesitation, she asked and of course, he accepted. It didn’t take long to realize the undeniable connection between the two and before you know it, their friendship turned into something romantic.

Her favorite VAVi memory?

That’s hard, so many great ones. From practices, to the happy hours after our games,and players parties. I’d have to say my favorite memory Is the night at practice I heard Tim and Lee talking about their living situations. We had been making jokes and just having a good time that whole night. That’s the night that kind of got everything going. I’d ask Tim if I could be his roommate and the rest is history 🙂

The two continued participating in several VAVi leagues; making new friends, great memories, and living happily ever after. We’re extremely happy to be a part of your beautiful story!
